How I’m Thriving Through Menopause And Helping Others Do the Same
I never imagined I’d be writing this at 47.
Menopause wasn’t something I spent much time thinking about until it came knocking, uninvited and relentless. The signs started creeping in quietly: mood swings that left me confused, anxiety that seemed to come from nowhere, itchy ears (yes, that’s a thing!), a sense of sadness I couldn’t shake, and vaginal dryness that made me feel uncomfortable in my own body.
For a while, I kept it all to myself. I told myself it was just a phase, maybe stress or hormones acting up. But deep down, I knew: this was menopause.
No one really prepares you for this. I certainly didn’t feel old, but my body was sending loud, clear signals that change was here. It felt like I was watching parts of myself fade away while grappling with an emotional weight I couldn’t explain.
And then I made a decision. I wasn’t going to suffer silently. I wasn’t going to let this season steal my joy, my energy, or my sense of self.
I turned to holistic remedies, not just to “fix” the symptoms, but to understand my body better, nurture it, and work with it. I started researching natural solutions, exploring nourishing foods, healing herbs, and daily rituals that supported my emotional and physical well-being.
To my surprise, things began to shift. My mood started to stabilize. The anxiety eased. My energy returned, slowly but surely. I didn’t just feel better; I felt empowered.
Through this journey, I realized something important: menopause isn’t the end of anything. It’s a powerful transition. It’s an invitation to pause, reflect, and care for ourselves in deeper ways than ever before.
